Draft. Required from the client: the full company name or the sole trader’s full name, the taxpayer identification number, the registered address, bank details and the procedure for refunding prepayments.
1.
Subject matter
The contractor provides laser engraving and marking services on the customer’s items, or on items purchased by the contractor at the customer’s instruction. The service is deemed rendered from the moment the item is handed over to the customer.
2.
Approval of the artwork
Before work begins, the contractor supplies the artwork and shows its placement with the pilot beam. The customer approves the artwork in the correspondence. Engraving is irreversible: once it has been approved, no claims regarding the wording, typeface or placement of the inscription are accepted.
3.
Properties of materials
The colour and contrast of the engraving depend on the structure of the material. On anodised aluminium and painted metal the top layer is removed, so the mark comes out light. Glass and ceramics give a matt frosted finish and no black colour. Brass may acquire a patina over time. These properties are not defects of the service.
4.
Production runs
For batches of 10 units and above a control sample is produced and approved with the customer before the run starts. Prepayment on corporate batches is 50%. Documents: contract, invoice, electronic invoice (ESF), certificate of completed work.
5.
Limitations
The contractor does not work with PVC or vinyl-containing materials, nor with low-grade rubbers: when heated they release toxic compounds. The contractor does not apply and does not restore factory serial numbers of trade marks on copies of items.
6.
Personal data
The forms on the site collect the name, the telephone number and the content of the request, including any attached artwork files. The data is used solely to handle the enquiry and is not passed to third parties, except in the cases provided for by law. Artwork files are kept until the work is completed; on written request they are deleted earlier.
7.
Durability and guarantee
The beam alters the structure of the material or removes a layer of it, so the mark does not rub off and does not fade. The guarantee does not cover mechanical damage to the item after it has been handed over to the customer.
